Insurance claim deadlines by state: what your insurer owes you
Each state sets time limits for how fast an insurer must acknowledge, decide and pay a property claim. They are scattered across statutes and agency rules. We read the source text and list each limit with its section number. We add a state only after checking its text, so this list is short and growing.
| State | Acknowledge claim | Accept or deny |
|---|---|---|
| Texas | 15 days | 15 business days |
| Missouri | 10 working days | 15 working days |
| Iowa | not set in the rule we reviewed | 30 days |
