1. Who We Are

PickARoofer ("we," "us," "our") operates the website at pickaroofer.com (the "Service"). We provide a lead generation service that connects homeowners seeking roofing services with local roofing contractors.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Name — your first and last name
• Phone number — used to connect you with a contractor and verify your request
• Email address — used for follow-up communication about your request
• Location (city) — used to match you with contractors in your area
• Project description — details about your roofing needs
• Address — optional, used to help contractors prepare estimates

For Contractors

• Name, company name, phone, email, city
• Business license information (provided during verification)
• Payment information (processed securely via Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

Automatically Collected Information

• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type and device information
• Pages visited and time on site
• Referring website

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Match your request with a single local roofing contractor
• Share your contact information with a matched contractor after they accept your request
• Communicate with you about your request status
• Improve our matching algorithm and service quality
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

With matched contractors: Your request is offered to one local roofing contractor at a time. A contractor receives your contact details after accepting the request. If that contractor does not accept within the exclusive claim window, we may offer the request to another contractor, up to three contractors total. We never send it to multiple contractors simultaneously.

We do NOT:

• Sell your information to third-party marketing companies or data brokers
• Share your data with multiple contractors simultaneously
• Use your data for unrelated advertising purposes

Service providers: We use third-party services to operate our platform, including Stripe (payment processing), hosting providers, and analytics tools. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of PickARoofer, our users, or the public.

5. SMS and Telephone Communications

By submitting your phone number and checking the consent box, you consent to receive phone calls, emails and, if applicable, text messages about your service request from each contractor matched under the sequential process above. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

PickARoofer may also contact you by phone or text to confirm your request or follow up on service quality. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out.

Lead alert texts for contractors. Roofing contractors who list with PickARoofer and give us a mobile number get a text when a new job request is assigned to them. The text names the job type and city and links to the lead. It never includes the homeowner's contact details. How often you get one depends on request volume in your area. Reply HELP for help, STOP to stop these texts, START to turn them back on. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not share mobile numbers for unrelated marketing. We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or messaging consent to marketing lists or affiliates. A number is disclosed only to a contractor who accepts the homeowner's roofing request under the sequential matching process described in Section 4.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to comply with legal obligations. Lead records are retained for up to 3 years for business and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, analyze site traffic, and improve our service. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not function properly without them.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site. Clarity can record page interactions such as clicks and scrolling to help us see how the site is actually used; input fields (like the fields in our quote request form) are masked, so Clarity never records what you type into them. See Microsoft's privacy statement for details on how Clarity handles data. We also use Google Analytics to measure page views and traffic sources; it sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address and the pages you view, and is not used for advertising on this site (see how Google uses data from sites that use its services). We also log page views and form events ourselves, on our own first-party systems, to run and improve the site. We set a first-party cookie (pkr_src) to remember how you first arrived at the site (landing page, referring site and campaign tags), so we know which pages bring requests. It is not used for advertising.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Data portability (receiving your data in a structured format)

8a. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights described here. We do not charge you a different price or provide a different quality of service because you exercise any of them.

What we collect about you

• Identifiers — your name, phone number, email address, and the city or ZIP code of your property.
• Commercial information — the description of the roofing work you are requesting.
• Internet activity — pages viewed and page interactions (clicks, scrolling) on this site, recorded by our own systems and by our analytics tools, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics (see Section 7). Form field entries are masked from Clarity.

We collect this to connect you with one local roofing contractor, and for no other purpose. We do not collect biometric information, precise geolocation, government identifiers, or any of the categories the CCPA classifies as sensitive personal information.

Who we disclose it to

Your information may be disclosed sequentially to up to three local roofing contractors under the matching process in Section 4 because that is the service you asked us to perform. It is also handled by service providers that run this site, such as our hosting and messaging providers, under contracts that limit them to processing it on our behalf.

Sale and sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold it in the preceding twelve months. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising: this website carries no third-party advertising pixels. Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics (see Section 7) are used for site measurement only, not for advertising or cross-context tracking. Because we neither sell nor share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out to offer. Disclosing a request to contractors through the sequential matching service is done at your direction to fulfil that request, not for unrelated advertising.

Your rights

• Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
• Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions the law allows — for example, information we must keep to document a transaction or to comply with a legal obligation.
• Correct personal information you believe is inaccurate.
• Opt out of sale or sharing. As stated above, we do neither, so this right has nothing to act on here.
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect any, so this right likewise has nothing to act on.
• Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, email privacy@pickaroofer.com or use our contact form, and tell us which right you are exercising. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extending once by a further 45 days if we need to and telling you so. We will ask you for enough information to verify that the request is yours — ordinarily the phone number or email address used in the original request. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission and the same verification.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
