What to do with it

Oregon contractors are licensed by the Construction Contractors Board. Ask any roofer for the license number first, look it up on the CCB site, and match the name on the quote to the name on the license.

Questions

How do I check that a Oregon roofer is licensed?

Search the firm's name or license number here for a quick look, then confirm on the official CCB lookup (https://search.ccb.state.or.us/search/). The state site is the authority, and it is updated more often than our copy.

How current is this data?

It is a snapshot taken on October 8, 2026 from the state's open-data portal. A license can lapse, be suspended or be renewed after that date.

What if a roofer is not in the results?

The Oregon dataset has no trade field, so we picked firms with ROOF in the business name. Roofers with other names are missing. Search the CCB site before you decide anything.

Does a license mean the work is good?

No. A license, bond and insurance show that the firm is registered and meets the state's minimums. They do not rate workmanship. Ask for references and a written quote.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is public information shown as-is. For a dispute or a legal question, ask the state agency or a lawyer.
