It stayed on the ground for 15.22 miles and was up to 1400 yards wide. A tornado started in Jasper County just east of Mississippi Highway 15 near County Road 1561 where it caused mainly tree damage. The tornado moved east along County Road 2414, uprooted a swath of pine trees, uprooted several hardwoods, and snapped numerous large pine tree limbs.
