How to verify a roofer in Georgia

  1. Ask for the license or registration number where one applies, and check it with the regulator named above. Where none applies, ask which permits the roofer will pull.
  2. Ask for a current certificate of insurance (general liability and workers’ compensation) sent to you directly by the insurer or agent. PickARoofer does not verify insurance.
  3. Get a written contract with the scope, materials, total price, start date and warranty terms. Do not sign a blank or partly filled form.
  4. Check the permit. Ask who pulls it and confirm with your city or county building department that it was issued.
